Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, visionary Pastor to lead and support our laity-focused congregation. This role involves providing spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and guidance to a diverse membership. The Pastor will work closely with our strong network of lay leaders to ensure cohesive and effective ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead worship services with biblically grounded sermons and messages.
- Plan and conduct informal weekly worship with a focus on family connection.
- Teach Bible-based classes and provide pastoral care to a senior congregation.
- Conduct weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
- Oversee lay-led educational and mission activities for all ages.
- Foster growth by reaching new members, especially young families with children.
- Supervise a small team of part-time staff members.
- Collaborate with church elders to guide a session of nine members.
Qualifications:
- Adapt to a small-church setting and act as a self-starter for addressing practical and spiritual needs.
- Ordained with a Master’s of Divinity or equivalent.
- Strong experience in community outreach and evangelism.
- Effective communicator with the ability to connect scripture to contemporary issues.
- Experience in marketing church offerings and engaging younger families.
- Passionate about diversity, multi-style worship, and congregational growth.
