MISSION
The Building and Grounds Ministry is the steward for preservation, maintenance, and improvement of the church building and property. This ministry is also responsible for administrative support of the church office and other ministries.
One of the more apparent roles of the B&G Ministry is maintenance of our outside landscape that includes mowing and all that goes with that task including trash pickup in the yard and emptying the bins when required, tree maintenance, outside building maintenance, coordination of tasks with our outside suppliers (i.e. Trees, Roof, Security Lighting, etc.). And, very important to our community of faith and others using our facility is the Prayer Garden and Labyrinth managed by our Prayer Garden and Labyrinth Task Force. Often recognized by ourselves and others visiting our community our beautiful facility does not manage itself but requires year-round attention to maintain its vitality and beauty. However, let us not forget the ‘inside the building’ chores. Much as you have at your house, GPC experiences electrical, mechanical, plumbing issues, and things in general needing care and up keep. It takes all of us!
