GRACE PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH CONNECTION

What is 30 Hour Famine?

It is a way of bringing awareness of the global food crisis.  It is a way to show the great need for clean water, medical supplies, and nutritious food around the world.  It is a way for youth to experience hunger.  It is a way to help.

The Youth, sponsors, and parents will fast for 30 hours from noon on Friday, February 21 until 6:30 pm on Saturday.

How Can You Help?

The Youth will need your help.  You can donate items, help prepare the end of fast meal, donate money, and remember us in your prayers. Please sign up on the sheet on the Youth bulletin board.

This is what we need:

Orange ink pads (about 5)

Food for a spaghetti dinner:

Noodles (2 packages)

3 jars of spaghetti sauce

3lbs of ground beef

2 bags of salad

Ranch salad dressing

3 loaves of garlic bread

3 pans of brownies

We also need:

Chores!  That’s right, chores!  Do you or someone you know need a little Youth power?  Please contact Jenny at jross011@att.net or call 817-723-7677.  We will have time slots of 1 or 2 hours to help out.  First come, first serve, so don’t hesitate!

Where can I donate?

Go to 30hf.worldvision.org/goto/GraceArlington2014, you can choose a particular youth person, or you can choose our group. OR, you can give your donation to a Youth member or in the church offering plate (please put 30 Hour on the memo).

Remember, $1 can feed 1 child for 1 day.  Our group goal is $1,000.

Thank you for your continued support as we try to change our world.
